“You say ‘amateur’ as if it was a dirty word. ‘Amateur’ comes from the Latin word ‘amare’, which means to love. To do things for the love of it.” — Mozart in the Jungle ♡ “The greater the artist, the greater the doubt. Perfect confidence is granted to the less talented as a consolation prize.” — Robert Huges ♡ “If it is important enough to you, you will find a way. If it is not, you will find an excuse.” ♡ “Never make fun of someone’s passion, because that’s the thing that saves them from the world.” ♡ “When something is right for you, it will give you energy. Hello! My name is Violet, though you might know me as peasina or ‘pea’, which I’m more than happy to go by. Welcome to my little space on the web!

I’m 35, from the UK, single, bisexual, and use she/they pronouns.

I’m an enthusiastic amateur hobbiest! I love experimenting and am currently enjoying voice acting/podficcing, collaging, fanart, and writing fanfiction. I’m also starting to own the fact that I’m a late bloomer with most things in life, though as long as I'm learning every day, it’s okay to feel behind.

There is NSFW material on this website intended for 18+ audiences.

Social media has never worked for me. It either pulls me into doomscrolling, validation chasing, or lurking and isolating myself. palmofviolet gives me control over what I post and how. Here, I share what brings me joy. If others enjoy it too, that’s a wonderful bonus, but it’s not the reason I make or share things. If you find something here you like, feel free to say hi, or simply take what you need from it.

I love that connection on neocities is intentional. People visit sites because they’re interested, not because an algorithm decided for them. The wonderful variety of lovingly made sites here inspires me greatly. I love exploring all the creative ways people showcase their passions. Getting to hear about someone’s special interests is one of my favourite things in life, and neocities feels like the special interest site!

Recently, I've been struck by how truly wonderful it is being part of communities that encourate creativity and ban AI bullsh*t. As long as I am able to, I will support and encourage independent creators, especially if they're just starting out - it's a brave thing to do these days, and it's important for us all to keep doing and SHARING what we love.
